sawyer

So the premier of the final season of Lost was this week and with all of the hype surrounding how things are going to play out, the one thing that won’t be questioned is how bad-ass Sawyer is. This week’s iconic fictional hero is our favorite southern talkin’ island dweller, James Ford (LaFleur) Sawyer.

Played by Josh Holloway since the beginning of the series, Sawyer has really gotten the short end of everything since the crash. He’s been accused of with holding information that resulted in some pretty painful torture, he’s been shot back and forth through time and judging by our count, has hooked up the most since arriving. Okay, so his back story is a little bit tragic in that his parents were conned by a man when he was ten resulting in their death, but Sawyer has taken this pain and turned himself into a dark hero.

Last season he found himself 30 years in the past, but instead of sitting around and crying about it, he made a life and career for himself by becoming the head of security for the Dharma Initiative. He also managed to bag Juliet, someone ‘Doc’ (Jack) has had his eye on for a while. But where he really stands out is when he shows his special kinship with Kate. The two of them have similar pasts and trust each other more than anyone else on the island.

This season should prove to be a great one as the final curtain call for Lost occurs over the course of the next few months. We’re going to predict that Sawyer comes out on top for the sheer reason of him just being awesome.
